I am sorry to say that I have not done much over the last one month. Now allow me to present the 2nd last part of this memoir.
-A disaster on Ice-
Ice Skating a delicate art, only few are regarded as legends in this sport. As part of the school's sports program. 2/B had a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to Ice Skate. As a class we had voted upon it as a majority.

We learnt to Ice Skate at the Jurong Entertainment Centre. There we shared moments of joy and laughter. I personally recall, I was branded with the name 'Terrorist on Ice". I was unable to balance myself and my refusal to fall down just added to the fear of those around me.

Another moment firmly imprinted in my mind was the time Mr Poon fell down, Run Ming (resident joker)had intervened with his movements, and I think the ice cracked ???

So despite promising a sequel, two weeks ago I kind of got lazy and decided to post it only today.
2/B Part 2 (Malacca Camp )

So when was it, sometime in May right ? I recall, actually I cannot really recall a thing about the bus ride to Malacca. Though I do recall, we stopped by some giant organic farm. Where we plucked Kang Kong. I can hardly believe that provided entertainment. Number 1, we get our shoes muddy.Number 2, we provided the farm with free labor and Number 3, The Kang Kong was not all that good.

Now on to the hotel, they actually made us wait for 2 hours before we got into our rooms. The impatience could be seen radiating across the room. Especially when the girls got to their rooms before the boys. Even when we did get to our rooms, it was not up to expectations. Some toilets were clogged with faces, others had no water supply and some only one bed(we were sharing rooms back then).

Day2
In a heretic fervor we rushed across half of Malacca collecting clues just to go to some other place.I drowned in buckets of Cendol, a delicacy known for its sweet potency.Needless to say, I had the runs for days after that.

Day 3

Lunch.Back to Singapore

Well thats all for this week.

Nicholas, Thanks You for your constant entertainment. There is never a boring moment around you. You and you hysterics are constantly bringing humor to the class. The ingenuous creativity you have. Creating things like, 'Spastic Shit' hmm ?

Today I am going to 'professionally' dissect a Japanese Drama know as Gokusen. Gokusen is a drama based on the tribulations faced by a teacher known by her nickname, Yankumi who gains control of the most notorious class(3D) in a Japanese high school. She faces problems such as gang fights, theft and even reluctant students. Imagien a class full of gangsters and ruffians, put together in one room. Most people would have given her up by now, except for the fact that she has a ironstrong willed and her yakuza(japanese term for gangster ) gives her the determination to perservere.

Today I shall dissect the anime code geass. Code geass basically revolves around a 16 year old boy who apparently deludes himself into thinking he is the king of the world. As such a green-haired whore(C.C), gives him the power of geass, the power to bend peoples will, (I am so scared) and so he goes on a killing spree, kills the soldier, kills the navy and even kills his own father. I mean talk about unappreciative, I mean just cause your father is the ruler of a fictionous world, that does not mean he has to die.

After the disastrous attempt of writing on paper I have decided to use the Internet instead, to finish this memoir and finally put the last two years behind me. So without further ado, let the first part commence:

After my first and eventful year at 1/B, I had great expectations for the next. Perhaps more nonsense from Run Ming ? Or maybe poking fun at classmates ? Whatever it was, I knew I could expect a great year ahead.

I stepped into the classroom to the sight of familiar classmates. They seemed apprehensive although dreading the prospect of something. I guess it must have been the work of Mr Poon. He had lied to us about our form teacher and had frightened us to death by saying it was Ms Victoria Chong.

To our immerse relief, I really mean relief. Mr Poon had been reinstated as our class form teacher.Cheers went out at the familiar sight. He announced our new rooster of teachers, I think it went something like this :

English - Ms Summer Soh
Math- Ms Tan
Science - Ms Goh Jia Li
Mother Tongue - Ms Chong Pei Yi
Geography- Ms Siti
History- Mr Leong
Literature - Ms Chong (Gasps)
Art - Mrs Chan
P.E - Mr Poon
(Well I guess that's about it, I guess I forgot about the rest)

Pretty boring eh ? Imagine what we went through under these teachers. Unparalleled din, noise and lots of FUN! I mean for English, Ms Soh despite all appearances was a teenager at heart she understood our woes and worries, she was capable of joking with us as though she was a friend. She has the wildest (yet surprisingly, novel) ideas. Her best was the creation of an English website which (I think) benefited the class.

Ms Tan, always looked rather sickly and pale. Most of us disobeyed her and treated her as though she was invisible. Her attempts at disciplining us were rather futile. There was a time where we managed to trick her into releasing us for recess early. Those gleeful smiles soon turned into frowns when she appropriately punished us. (Ouch) I believe some of us felt remorseful and wanted to make amends, we never did and I still think we should have done something back then.

Ms Goh- Excellent.(enough said )

Ms Chong Pei Yi taught us Mother Tongue. Run Ming took great pleasure in poking fun at her.(For fear of being punished, I refuse to elaborate, since you guys would know) We enjoyed the way she taught us Mother Tongue and would always hoot at how she punished Run Ming.

Ms Siti taught Geography, a subject most of us 'loved' ( I am right ? RIGHT ?) or at least in her presence. She was always insistent about us getting good grades, 'You may not like Geography but it will still contribute to your End-Of-Year Marks', she always said. These words inspired me to put effort into geography. From a B4 to an A1 my geography marks went. I believe it was her words and her hard work that allowed me to make such remarkable progress. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for inspiring me in Geography. The way I mugged for Geography last year is an experience I will always look back to with pride. Also to apologize for not taking Geography. -.-

Although he taught History, Mr Leong often told us stories about his working life. Always clad in a (what do you call them? suits of sorts ? ) he would spin tales of business and stock markets. Most of the class actually 'listened' and now we are in a financial crisis. (just joking his advice was great)

This is probably going to be one of the longer paragraphs. Especially Ms Vitoria Chong, her royal majesty , deserves no less than this. Contary to expectations she was a pretty humorous teacher. Always humouring with her outbursts. Remember the time she made people sing 'Beasts Of England'? ( I can see my windows breaking) we had a jolly good time. Wow my long paragraph just became short.

Mrs Chan taught us Art. I will be pefectly honest I did not listen, handed up poor work, failed art terribly and I still cannot draw a mushroom without help. Mrs Chan was what Run Ming would describe as a 'Chio Bu'.(Run Ming, she is taken dont forget its MRS).

The grand finale. Mr Kelvin Poon. He was one of the 'best' teachers we ever had. He hardly paid heed to our misdeanmours and mischief. CD lessons were slacking periods used to further our troops on a piece of plastic and jammin session. I do not think he would have noticed even if we brawled in the middle of the classroom.

-End Of Part One-

One lengthy post. I will finish part two by next sunday. Meanwhile contribute by writing in about your 2/b memories.

In recent days the world has been plagued by H1N1 Influenza A, worldwide reaction was swift and decisive. In a matter of days quarantines were imposed and temperature checks became the norm. Schools in Singapore hastily suspended their overseas trips, fearing for student's well-being. As of, 8th May 2009 the situation has steadily improved and the world is returning to normalcy. The last few days have been cited by critics as 'overreacting' and calling 'Swine'.

In my opinion, these claims have a certain tint of truth to them. The world fearing a pandemic of the scale of the 2003 SARS outbreak has acted in a commendable fashion. Yet, was it necessary to cancel trips at such early notice ? Swine Flu is neither fatal nor deadly, its death count unable to surpass the seasonal flus'.

Despite WHO stating that TWO MILLION people will catch it, symptoms will be mild and casualties will be minimal(according to official sources).
This saga teaches the world to be vigilant and ever ready to respond to a pandemic.
